ABOUT | À PROPOS
Célia Bchir explores notions of the elsewhere, the strange and the foreign through her cinematographic and photographic practices. After a childhood and adolescence in Morocco, Célia studied cinema in France. Her work is based between Paris and Marrakech.
The motif of water, never far from her subjects, enables her to explore emergence, the birth of matter and the permeability of worlds. Behind an apparent serenity, lonely figures become enigmatic silhouettes and often deserted settings become protagonists.
Recently, his work has turned to the intimacy and publication of photographic notebooks.
